NSA - FT MEADE

The National Security Agency of the United States is a vital branch of the United States Department of Defense. Headquartered in Fort Meade, Maryland, it is presumed to be the largest employer in the state. The agency is responsible for examining data and communications from around the world and is tasked with protecting U.S. government communications and information systems. It was established by President Harry S. Truman in 1952 as a group of 7,600 civilians and military workers stationed in Virginia. Today, NSA headquarters employs over 30,000 service members and civilian employees.

At Burch Law, we have helped those working for the NSA and the many other intelligence agencies located at Fort Meade resolve legal issues for over 25 years. We understand the high level of scrutiny that comes with working at some of the most secretive agencies in the world. What may seem like minor infractions can unexpectedly escalate to serious threats to a service member’s career. In unfortunate circumstances, civilians and contractors can also find themselves banned from Fort Meade property or have their security clearances compromised.

Administrative actions can stunt careers over minor infractions. Even mere accusations can lead to a snowball effect of unintended consequences. The Burch Law Firm stands up for the rights of military service members and civilians facing unfair prosecutions or hyper-aggressive command action. It may be possible to reach a fair outcome in your case.

Our attorneys have more than 25 years of experience defending service members facing court-martials, administrative discharge hearings, boards of inquiry, physical evaluation boards (PEB Hearings), and DOHA security clearance hearings. Members who face medical credentialing committees and who stand before the Discharge Review Board and the Board for Correction of Medical Records may also benefit from legal representation. Obtaining legal representation early on in an investigation may provide advantages, such as possibly preventing a case from reaching a court-martial or hearing.

The Burch Law Firm represents service members, civilians, and dependents in the local civilian courts as well as the military courts. We understand the hardships you may face when your command begins an investigation or brings legal charges against you. We also understand the ways in which a civilian case can impact a client’s military or federal government career. It is crucial to work with an experienced and knowledgeable attorney who can represent your interests throughout the course of the investigation.
